About This Talk
With a new year coming, Chris walks through a simple reset that starts with the right foundation and the idea that thoughts become things. He asks listeners to spend quiet time looking back on the past year without judgment, then work through six questions for each of five life areas and write the answers in a journal they return to all year.
Key Ideas
- We can’t do new things in old ways and expect a different result, but a slight change in thinking makes a big difference.
- Spend at least 15 quiet minutes letting the past year flow back to you, observing what happened and what you learned without judging it.
- Personal growth, family, relationships, work and health happen all at once, like a hologram, so they need to stay in balance.
- Six questions guide each area: the outcome you want, the thinking to change, the help you need, the steps, the feeling, and staying observant.
- Write the answers in a journal and revisit them at least monthly, since things written down take on a life of their own.
“Every obstacle is actually a solution in disguise.”
